Affiliate Membership

Our members are affiliated with the programs and centers in New Jersey that provide equine assisted activities and services. They hold many different certifications, and/or appropriate professional licenses depending upon the requirements of the service provided. They are often members of other professional organizations and may receive additional certifications or education through the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship (PATH Intl.,), Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association (EAGALA), and American Hippotherapy Association (AHA Inc.), to name a few.

We are always looking for new members to augment our already strong team of New Jersey professionals. If you are interested in joining, please complete our online membership form and mail your check to the address listed at the top. Your annual fee with provide you with:

  • Access to invitations to special events
  • Two annual educational/networking opportunities;
  • Participation in our list serve notifications and information;
  • Invitation to our annual HRH of New Jersey Horse Show for adaptive riding students;
  • Center members will have their contact information listed on this site.

HRH of New Jersey also holds seats and has delegates representing our interests on the Equine Advisory Board and the Horse Council of New Jersey which meet monthly. Minutes from these meetings are made accessible to our affiliated membership.

WOUNDED WARRIOR PROJECT

PATH International Equine Services for Heros and EAGALA Military Services

Wounded Warrior Project is a collaborative effort between many state centers, the Wounded Warrior Project and PATH International.

Many PATH International member centers provide EAAT services to veterans. PATH International currently offers scholarship opportunities to veterans interested in attending the national conference and/or becoming certified in adaptive riding.

EAGALA Military Services Provider is a distinction where the certified professional has specialized training and experience in dealing with active military, reserves, veterans and their families. The use of EAGALA Model is used in the treatment plan.

EAAT provides returning soldiers and their families a safe and secure environment to build trusting relationships and regain physical, mental and emotional strength.
